Aim
The aim of this activity is to:
- facilitate consistent implementation of and compliance with the Standard 2.4.5 Primary Production and Processing Standard for Eggs and Egg Products
- develop an implementation package for the review of Standard 2.4.5 under Proposal P1060.
Leads
New South Wales is the Chair of the Implementation Working Group. The working group reports to the Implementation Subcommittee for Food Regulation (ISFR).
Authorisation
In March 2022, ISFR agreed to establish an Egg Implementation Working Group to support an upcoming review of Standard 4.2.5 in the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
Status
The Implementation Working Group are:
- supporting the Integrated Model for Standards Development and Consistent Implementation
- working with industry and governments to develop guidance material, including Safe Eggs Australia.
